Dell Inspiron E1501Dell Inc. will start selling consumer laptop computers at more than 580 of Wal-Mart Inc.’s Sam’s Club stores starting mid-June.

The PC maker’s first laptop to show up in retail will be AMD-powered Dell Inspiron E1501, priced at $899. The offered 15.4-inch widescreen notebook will feature dual core AMD Turion 64 x2 processor, 2 gigabytes of system memory, a 120GB hard drive, a DVD burner, and Windows Vista Home Premium operating system.

Beginning this Sunday, June 10, Dell will start selling its desktop computers at Wal-Mart. The two Dell Dimension E521 desktops will be introduced to the mass retail market at more than 3,300 Wal-Mart stores.
