Dell’s newly designed Vostro 1310 and 1510 business laptops for budget-minded customers are now available in the United States.
The 1310 is the first 13.3-inch model in the Dell Vostro series. The ultraportable weighs 4.6 pounds and starts at $749, while the 1510 weighs 5.7 pounds and has a starting price of $599. The both notebooks come with up to Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of system memory, a slot-load optical drive, as well as with Windows XP or Windows Vista preinstalled.
Dell says the new laptops feature enhanced security options such as fingerprint readers, TPM (Trusted Platform Module) 1.2 module, cable lock slot, and factory-installed security software. The notebooks are fitted with only the software you need, so there is no trialware preinstalled. Dell also offers free services including 10GB of DataSafe Online Backup, Network Assistant and PC TuneUp.
Dell Vostro 1310 and 1510 can be purchased through the company’s online store.
In addition, the PC maker is going to release a 17-inch model – the Vostro 1710 – in mid-May.
