Dell announced today the Studio 14z consumer laptop, featuring a 14-inch display, Intel’s Pentium or Core 2 Duo processors, and the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics.
With a starting weight of 4.3 pounds, the Dell Studio 14z, also includes up to 500GB hard drive, up to 5GB of DDR3 memory, a 6- or 8-cell battery, a built-in 1.3MP web camera, stereo speakers, an HDMI output and a Display Port, a Wireless-G or Wireless-N card, a Gigabit LAN port, optional Bluetooth and mobile broadband connections, three USB ports (one with eSATA functionality), an ExpressCard slot, and Firewire. The 14z does not feature a built-in optical drive.
The laptop’s screen has LED backlight, a 16:9 aspect radio and a 720p or 900p resolution, depending on customer’s choice.
The Dell Studio 14z runs Windows Vista OS and is available in six colors: Black Chain Link, Midnight Blue, Spring Green, Plum Purple, Ruby Red and Promise Pink.
It has a starting price of $649 at the Dell Home store.
