Dell is going to release the new Studio 15 notebook - the 1555 model with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 dedicated GPU, according to a product support page on Dell.com.
The 1555 will also include a subwoofer, which is a new feature in the Studio 15 lineup. However, further details are unknown at the time of this writing.
The current Studio 15 1535/1537 laptops ship with either Intel’s integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics, also available in the upcoming 1555, or the Mobility Radeon HD 3450 discrete chip. The 15.4-inch 1535/1537 includes the Intel Core 2 Duo or Pentium processor, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, and up to 500GB of hard drive space.
ATI’s Radeon HD 4570 belongs to the recently released Mobility Radeon HD 4000 series that supports Microsoft DirectX 10.1 and has the Unified Video Decoder 2 for high definition video playback.
