The Dell Studio 15, a 15.4-inch mainstream consumer notebook, has been reviewed by PC Magazine and CNet.
This Intel Centrino-based laptop fills the gap between the affordable Inspiron and higher-end XPS 15.4-inchers. It is claimed to offer a great design at low prices, outstanding performance, and an excellent keyboard. The other positive sides of the Studio 15 are a wide selection of options when configuring the notebook and a variety of color choices, as well as included HDMI output and remote control.
On the other side, the 6-pound Dell’s Studio 15 is bulkier than the XPS M1530 with the same screen size. Also, the just released laptop is based on Intel Centrino mobile platform, which will be succeeded by Centrino 2 soon.
The notebook currently starts at $799.
