Dell launched yesterday the Vostro 1310, the company’s first 13.3-inch notebook in their business-class lineup. The laptop starts at $749.
Along with a 13.3″ 1280×800 anti-glare or glossy display, the Dell Vostro 1310 includes Intel’s Celeron, or a 65nm/45nm Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of system memory, up to 320GB of hard drive storage, and a slot-load optical drive. Regarding graphics, the 1310 provides Intel GMA X3100 and Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS 128MB choices.
The new Vostro notebook has only one 2W speaker and optionally built-in 1.3 megapixel web camera and microphone. It provides a wide selection of wireless options including 802.11n and Bluetooth modules. The laptop features a Gigabit Ethernet port, an optional external 56k modem, four USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, Firewire port, 8-in-1 media card reader, VGA output, security cable slot, and a fingerprint reader, accompanied by the Trusted Platform Module 1.2.
The Dell Vostro 1310 weighs 4.45lbs when configured with a DVD/RW, integrated graphics, and 4-cell battery. It is also available with 6-cell and 9-cell batteries.
The notebook ships with Windows Vista or Windows XP operating system and is available now through Dell’s online store .
