Dell has unveiled yesterday the Vostro 1510 15.4-inch affordable business-class notebook, featuring new chassis design, Intel’s Centrino processor technology, and a starting price of $599.
The Dell Vostro 1510 includes Intel Celeron or some of 65nm and 45nm Core 2 Duo CPU models, up to 4GB of main memory, up to 320GB of hard drive space, and a slot-load optical drive. Regarding graphics, the 1510 provides Intel GMA X3100 and Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS 256MB choices. This GPU manages the 15.4″ anti-glare or glossy display with a resolution of 1280-by-800 or 1440-by-900 pixels, depending on customer’s choice.
The Vostro 1510 has built-in stereo speakers and an optional 1.3 megapixel web camera and microphone. It provides a wide selection of wireless options including 802.11n and Bluetooth modules. The laptop features a Gigabit Ethernet port, an optional external 56k modem, four USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, Firewire port, 8-in-1 media card reader, and VGA and S-Video outputs.
There are also security cable slot and fingerprint reader, accompanied by the Trusted Platform Module 1.2.
The new notebook weighs 5.72lbs with a 6-cell battery.
The Vostro 1510 ships with Windows Vista or Windows XP OS and is available now through Dell’s online store .
