Dell XPS M1330The 13.3-inch Dell XPS M1330 notebook, based on Intel “Santa Rosa” mobile PC platform, is now available for purchase at computer maker’s website.

Dell XPS M1330 features the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor, ranging from the new T5250 (1.50GHz,2M L2 Cache,667MHz FSB) to T7700 (2.4GHz,4M L2 Cache,800MHz FSB). It is built on GM965 chipset with integrated Intel GMA X3100 graphics or PM965 chipset paired with dedicated NVIDIA GeForce Go 8400M GS 128MB. Regarding notebook’s screen, there is a standard 13.3-inch WXGA display or an optional WXGA LED backlight display. Dell’s new XPS laptop supports up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and comes with 32GB solid state drive or a standard hard drive with up to 200GB storage space and with 5400rpm and 720rpm rotational speeds, depending on model. It has an integrated slot-loading DVD burner.

The XPS M1330 provides a wireless connection with an optional support for wireless N (802.11n draft standard), Bluetooth option, Ethernet LAN, and broadband wireless options.

It has ExpressCard 54mm slot, a 8-in-1 removable memory card reader, Firewire Port, and two USB ports. For video output there are HDMI and VGA out (Update: According to product specifications, an HDMI output is available only in models with GeForce 8400M).

The M1330 notebook features a fingerprint reader and an integrated web camera mounted on the top of the laptop’s display panel. The models with a standard screen feature 2 megapixel webcam, while those with a LED backlight display have 0.3 megapixel sensor.

Dell XPS M1330, which has a new chassis design available in Tuxedo Black, Crimson Red or Pearl White colors, is advertised as “the World’s thinnest 13.3-inch notebook”. Its weight starts at 3.97lbs.

The basic configuration is priced at $1,299 and comes with Windows Vista operating system.
