Dell’s XPS M1530 15.4-inch entertainment laptop PC is now available in the United States with the new Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn†processor, based on 45-nanometer technology.
The XPS M1530 is offered with the 45nm T8300, T9300, and T9500 CPUs, clocked at 2.4GHz, 2.5GHz, and 2.6GHz respectively. When configuring the notebook, these processors have the same prices as their 65nm “Merom” counterparts with smaller L2 cache size.
Intel “Penryn” CPUs are claimed to provide better performance, lower power consumption, and produce less heat than their 65nm precursors.
