Dell’s XPS World of Warcraft Notebooks Sold for $12000

Dell today announced the winners of the eBay charity auction of two World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade limited-edition XPS M1710 notebooks. Trip Hoover of Texas and Daniel Marinow of Germany combined bid nearly $12,000 for these unique notebook PCs, with all proceeds benefiting America’s Second Harvest, the Nation’s Food Bank Network, the company announced.

The custom-painted XPS M1710 Burning Crusade edition features renowned artist Mike Lavallee’s airbrushed recreation of the artwork showcased on the packaging of the new WoW game. Dell produced only two of these special-edition gaming laptops, each signed by Dell Chairman Michael Dell and Blizzard Entertainment’s Vice- President of Gaming Rob Pardo.
