The Dell XPS M1730 gaming notebook is now available with the NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX SLI dual graphics card option.
Dell’s performance team says the XPS M1730 with two GeForce 8800M GTX 512MB video cards earned a score of almost 13,500 in 3Dmark06 benchmark, which is about 49% performance gain over dual 8700M GT 512MB cards in the same notebook.
The basic XPS M1730 configuration with a pair of 8800M GTX GPUs is priced at $3,399. It costs $700 more than the same notebook with two 8700M GT cards. The estimated ship date for M1730 laptops with the 8800M GTX is February 20th.
The PC maker says it will offer soon an upgrade option to 8800M GTX SLI for customers who previously purchased their 8700M GT SLI-powered M1730 notebooks.
The 17-inch Dell XPS M1730 also features the AGEIA PhysX 100M physics processor, the Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, and up to 640GB of storage space.
