The USB EVDO Card, which will be offered by Franklin Wireless and Sprint later this month, will enable computers without PCMCIA slot (such as ultra-mobile PCs and MacBook Pro) to connect to the high-speed Sprint’s Power Vision Network via USB port, Mobility Today published.
“Not much information is out on this card but our early tests have shown remarkable speeds,” report says. Mobility Today published a picture showing achived 525 kbps download speed, and 104 kbps upload speed using Franklins EVDO USB card on the Sony Vaio UMPC.
