Fujitsu has unveiled its Fab PC notebook concept, which features a flexible display and uses fabric in its construction.
“The use of fabric also lends itself perfectly to the other innovative feature of the Fab PC: a flexible e-paper display. Whereas all other notebooks feature a display screen which is mounted via hinges to the main system unit/keyboard, the Fab PCs screen swoops down into the base of the device and then folds over on top of the keyboard when not in use,” DalyTech’s report says.
Currently it is not known if Fujitsu will start the production of Fab PC, but its concept may appear in future laptops.
The other interesting known notebook concepts unveiled during 2006 and 2007 are LG’s e-Book, Canovo dual screen laptop, Fujitsu’s CD-sized computer prototype, as well as the most recent Intel Metro Notebook.
