Fujitsu LifeBook A6010The 15.4-inch widescreen Fujitsu LifeBook A6010 laptops, featuring Intel Core 2 Duo Merom processors, had been announced today. The Lifebook A6010 can be configured with Core 2 Duo T5500 processor, but it can also be purchased with older Core Duo Yonah T2050 CPU. The A6010 is based on Intel 945GM chipset providing integrated graphics with up to 224MB of shared memory and Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG. It comes with up to 4GB of main memory, has a 120 GB PATA 4200rpm hard drive and a dual-layer DVD writer. The battery life of the Core 2 Duo T5500 configuration with 4-cell battery unit lasts up to one hour and forty-five minutes, which is a quarter of hour less than Core Duo T2050-powered A6010 with the same battery.

Fujitsu LifeBook A6010 also incorporates a 56K modem, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN and a Bluetooth. It has three USB ports, IEEE 1394 (4-pin) port and VGA out, as same as PCMCIA and ExpressCard slots and a 4-in-1 multimedia card reader.

Fujitsu LifeBook A6010 comes with Windows XP Media Center or Professional Edition preinstalled and it’s Windows Vista Capable.

The laptop weights 6.05 lbs and has spill resistant keyboard and a fingerprint reader.

The A6010 notebook is priced starting at $1,149 with a $50 rebate for a base configuration. The PC is immediately available through the Fujitsu direct sales force, website, channel partners and select retail outlets.
