Fujitsu today announced LifeBook N6420, the 17-inch high-contrast widescreen desktop replacement notebook PC, featuring an optional HD DVD drive, Intel Core 2 Duo (Merom) T5600 or T7200 processor and the ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 or X1400 graphics card with 512MB and 256MB of HyperMemory respectively. Fujitsu LifeBook N6420 comes with maximum of 400GB of SATA hard drive storage (2 HDDs x 200GB) and up to 4GB of main memory.
Regarding Internet and connectivity, Fujitsu LifeBook N6420 incorporates an Intel PRO/Wireless a 3945ABG, 56K modem and a Gigabit Ethernet LAN. It has five USB ports, a 1394 (4-pin) port, VGA and S-Video TV-out, PCMCIA and ExpressCard slots and a 4-in-1 memory card reader.
The new Lifebook’s sound system consist of Realtek ALC262 chip and two internal stereo speakers and subwoofer.
Fujitsu LifeBook N6420 offers an optional TV tuner, and comes with integrated touchpad with fingerprint sensor (which can also be used for scroll function) and full-size keyboard.
According to its specifications, Fujitsu LifeBook N6420 has up to one hour of battery life with standard battery pack
The LifeBook N6420 weights 10.58 lbs. with TV tuner and dual hard drives and 9.92 lbs. without TV tuner and with single hard drive.
The Fujitsu LifeBook N6420 notebook is priced at $1500 for a base configuration. It comes with Windows XP Media Center or XP Professional installed.
