Fujitsu’s new LifeBook P1630 convertible notebook with an 8.9-inch touch-sensitive display is now available.
Starting at 2.2 pounds, the LifeBook P1630 features the Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 Ultra Low Voltage processor at 1.2GHz, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory. It is configurable with an 80GB or 120GB hard drive, or optional 64GB solid state drive. The touch-enabled widescreen display has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
The Tablet PC has no built-in optical drive, but includes a 1.3-megapixel web camera, 802.11n wireless connection, Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, optional Bluetooth, two USB ports, PC Card and Secure Digital Card slots, and VGA output.
For security, there is a fingerprint reader and the Trusted Platform Module 1.2.
With a standard 3-cell battery, the P1630 enables up to 3 hours of operation on a single charge. The 6-cell unit provides up to 6 hours of battery life, according to Fujitsu.
The Windows Vista Business-powered convertible laptop starts at $2,179 at the company’s online store.
