The new Fujitsu LifeBook P8010 ultraportable laptop, featuring a 12.1-inch LED backlight display, a claimed battery life of 6.5 hours, and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, is now available for purchase.
This sub three-pound notebook has almost the same footprint as its predecessor – the 10.6-inch screen LifeBook P7230. The P8010 comes with the Core 2 Duo SL7100 Low Voltage processor at 1.2GHz, accompanied by the Intel GS965 chipset with the integrated GMA X3100 graphics. It has a 1280-by-800 display and a built-in 1.3-megapixel web camera on the top of the LCD panel. The laptop supports up to 4GB of system memory and ships with up to 200GB hard drive. The new LifeBook has an integrated DVD burner or Combo optical drive, depending on customer’s choice.
The P8010 features the Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (802.11 a/b/g/draft n) connection, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth module, an integrated V.90 modem, three USB ports, a PC Card slot, Firewire port, and a VGA output. For enhanced security, the ultraportable incorporates the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) microchip, and a fingerprint reader.
The Fujitsu LifeBook P8010 has a glossy black cover and a spill-resistant keyboard. According to the product specifications, its standard six-cell Lithium ion battery provides up to 6 hours and 30 minutes run time.
This sub-notebook is priced starting at $1,699.
