Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation today announced the Fujitsu LifeBook S2210, a thin and light 13.3-inch XGA display business laptop powered by AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core processor at 1.6GHz and ATI Radeon X1150 graphics with up to 256MB of shared graphics memory.
It supports up to 4GB of main memory and features up to 100GB SATA 5400rpm hard drive. Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 notebook has a modular bay that can be configured with a Dual-Layer Multi-Format DVD Writer, second hard drive, or a bay battery.
With optical drive in its modular bay, Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 weighs four lbs. It provides up to 2.5 hours of continuous work with main battery and up to 4.5 hours using both main and modular bay battery, according to the notebook maker.
The S2210 has Atheros Super AG Wireless LAN, Gigabit Ethernet, a 56k modem, as well as variety of ports and slots including PCMCIA slot, three USB ports, external monitor and TV outputs, FireWire and Memory Stick PRO/Secure Digital card slot.
It has built-in stereo speakers and stereo microphones.
This enterprise-class laptop incorporates high-level security and data protection featuring Smart Card support via the PC Card slot, embedded Trusted Platform Module (TPM) v1.2, hard disk drive lock and an optional built-in fingerprint sensor. It’s also safeguarded with a spill-resistant keyboard and the Fujitsu Shock Sensor utility, an accelerometer-based hard disk drive protection system that retracts the hard drive head if a sudden movement or vibration is detected.
Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 comes is available with Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista Business or Windows Vista Home Basic.
It price starts at $1,299 and is available through the Fujitsu direct sales force, website, channel partners and select retail outlets.
