Fujitsu Announces LifeBook UH900 Laptop-Like Handheld PC

Fujitsu LifeBook UH900Fujitsu has announced the LifeBook UH900, a laptop-like handheld PC featuring a 5.6-inch multi-touch sunlight-readable display and the Intel Atom Z530 processor.

Weighing around 1.1 pound and with dimensions of 20.4cm x 10.65cm x 2.38cm, the Fujitsu LifeBook UH900 also includes a 62GB solid state drive with Windows 7 pre-installed, a battery life of up to 3 hours, a web camera, stereo mic, and support for mobile broadband and Bluetooth.


Thoughtfully designed to outperform in PC convenience, the Fujitsu LifeBook UH900’s mobility is further exemplified with its 5 thumb-controlled Touch Buttons panel at the flanks of the screen such as resolution change, ECO button for extending battery life up to 3 hours or to launch media programs, or you may program these 3 buttons to your favorite applications. Page up and down viewing is also made simple with a single touch of a button as well.

Combined with a thumb-glide point and buttons that substitutes the use of an external mouse, using the UH900 as a handheld will be a breeze. Besides supporting the new multi-touch capability for two finger touch output, the LifeBook UH900 also comes bundled with a pen for more precise input.

The UH900 will ship with a glossy Mocha Black, Fiery Red or Vintage Gold finish.

According to CNet, the UH900 pricing and a model without mobile broadband are expected to be launched in January.
