Gateway M, T SeriesGateway today announced the 15.4-inch Gateway M-Series and 14.1-inch Gateway T-Series multimedia notebook PCs, both featuring Intel Centrino Mobile Technology with Intel Core 2 Duo processor and the new industrial design with Crimson Red, Pacific Blue or Slate Grey colors.

“Several standard and optional features available on notebooks purchased through Gateway’s direct channel build on the notebooks’ vast capabilities, such as 1080p-capable display, an integrated fingerprint reader and a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) for digital video and audio out,” the PC maker’s press release says.

The M and T notebooks incorporate a wireless connection supporting 802.11a/b/g and next-generation 802.11 Draft-N standards, an optional Bluetooth and a 1.3 megapixel web camera.

Although there are no detailed specifications provided, Gateway says even more options will be available to customers in the coming months including ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 XT dedicated graphics on the Gateway M-Series notebooks, as well as slot-load DVD burner, HD DVD, and Blu-ray optical drive options on both laptop lines.

The first two models of the Gateway M-Series and T-Series notebook lines - the Gateway M-6816 and Gateway T-6815 - will be available starting July 22 through national retailers that carry Gateway products. The prices start at $899.99. Gateway will also make the Gateway M-Series and T-Series available for order in the coming weeks through the company’s direct sales channels. Offered as the customizable Gateway M-150X and T-140X, the new notebooks will be priced starting at $999.99.
