Gateway Announces P-7808u FX Quad Core Laptop

Gateway today announced the P-7808u FX Edition notebook PC, featuring a 17-inch display, a quad core processor, and a gaming video card.

Along with the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 2GHz (6MB L2 cache, 1066MHz FSB) CPU and the NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS 1GB graphics, the entertainment-oriented Gateway P-7808u FX includes 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, and a DVD burner. The widescreen display has a resolution of 1440×900 pixels.

The laptop also sports a 1.3-megapixel web camera, 802.11 a/g/draft-N wireless connection, an HDMI output, three USB ports, a 5-in-1 media card reader, an eSATA port, and a Firewire port.

Gateway’s P-7808u FX runs Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS and has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $1,799.99. It can be purchased through several online retailers.
