Gateway has launched this week the UC Series, the company’s first notebook with a 13.3-inch display.
The Gateway UC uses either Intel Centrino 2 or Intel Centrino Processor Technology, along with an Intel Core Duo, Intel Core 2 Duo or Intel Pentium CPU. The laptop also has the Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics. According to the product page on Gateway.com, select UC models will feature ATI’s switchable graphics that combines integrated and dedicated GPUs. The widescreen display has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
Other features of the Windows Vista-based notebook include up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 320GB of hard drive space, and a slot-load DVD burner, as well as a 1.3MP web camera, 802.11n wireless LAN, Bluetooth, Ethernet LAN, HDMI and VGA outputs, three USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, and a 4-in-1 media card reader.
The 5.3-pound system has brushed metal palm rest, aluminum metal hinge and moonstone finish.
It is available now at select retailers with prices starting at $749.99.
