Gigabyte has officially unveiled the M912V, a netbook with a swivel touch-screen.
The Gigabyte M912V ultraportable Tablet PC features an 8.9-inch 1280×768 LCD panel with LED backlight, and weighs around 2.87 pounds. It is based on the Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor and the 945GSE chipset. The M912V comes with 1GB of RAM, a 2.5-inch 160GB hard drive, and 6-cell battery providing 3.5 hours of operation between charges.
There are also a built-in 1.3-megapixel web camera, stereo speakers, 802.11b/g wireless connection, Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth, three USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, and 3-in-1 media card reader.
Gigabyte’s M912V runs Windows XP or Windows Vista Home Basic, according to its product page.
There is no official information on availability and pricing. However, PC Launches reports the netbook will be available this month for $699.
