The HP 2000-2b10nr from the Hewlett-Packard’s most affordable 2000 series notebook lineup is the same notebook as the 2000-2a10nr when it comes to hardware, but on the software side the difference is big. The 2000-2b10nr comes with the latest Windows 8, whereas the latter is powered by old Windows 7. That’s logical, since the 2b10nr is a newer model, released after the official Win 8 launch. Another difference, at least on paper, is a weirdly lower manufacturer’s estimated battery life of 4 hours versus claimed 5.5 hours with the 2a10nr.
The 2000-2b10nr is currently $385 on Amazon, $10 more expensive than the still available Windows 7 model.
