Hewlett-Packard has unveiled the HP 550 15.4-inch business notebook, featuring Intel’s budget mobile processors, such as lower-end Core 2 Duos and Celerons.
The 550, which is a successor of the affordable HP 530, has the Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics, up to 4GB of memory, up to 250GB of hard drive storage, a Combo optical drive or DVD burner, and a screen resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
The notebook includes 802.11 wireless with optional suppor for draft-n WiFi standard in select models. There are also, Ethernet LAN, a 56k modem, optional Bluetooth, three USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, and VGA output.
HP’s 550 weighs 5.5 pounds and runs Windows Vista operating system.
The laptop is “coming soon”, according to the product page at the HP website. There is no information on pricing.
