Hewlett-Packard has added the HP Compaq 6730b notebook to its business class notebook line.
The 15.4-inch Compaq 6730b is HP’s first business laptop based on Intel Centrino 2 “Montevina” mobile platform, and includes the new Core 2 Duo or Celeron CPUs and the Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics. The laptop supports up to 8GB of DDR2 RAM and comes with up to 250GB of hard drive space, and a DVD burner or combo optical drive. The notebook’s display has a resolution of 1280×800 or 1680×1050 pixels, both with mate or glossy finish.
Other features include the 802.11a/b/g wireless with optional support for 802.11 draft-n standard, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, a 56K modem, optional HP un2400 EV-DO/HSPA mobile broadband module, optional web camera, four USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, 6-in-1 media card reader, Firewire port, VGA and S-Video outputs, and a serial port.
The HP Compaq 6730b starts at 5.93 pounds and runs Windows Vista operating system.
The only available 6730b model with the Core 2 Duo P8600 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and a 160GB HDD costs $1,690 at HP website.
