The 15.4-inch screen HP Compaq Presario v6000t notebook is now available for purchase with new option - Intel’s Core 2 Duo Merom processor. The basic v6000t Merom configuration with Core 2 Duo T5600 processor, running on 1.83MHz with 2MB of cache, costs $950 after $100 mail-in rebate. It can also be configured with Core 2 Duo T7200 processor, or older Intel’s Celeron, Core Solo and Core Duo processors.
Based on Mobile Intel 945 Express chipset, the HP Compaq Presario v6000t comes with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, a 512MB, 1GB or 2GB DDR2 SDRAM and a SATA hard drive with capacity of 40GB, 60GB, 80GB, 100GB or 120GB. Regarding connectivity, the Compaq Presario v6000t has 802.11b/g WLAN or optional Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG, alone or with Bluetooth. You can order the v6000t with standard coating or with more durable Imprint Finish coating.
Although now incorporates 64-bit Core 2 Duo processor, the Presario v6000t still comes only with 32-bit Windows XP Home or Professional, but it is also case with almost all recently announced Merom powered laptops.
HP estimates that will start shipping the refreshed Compaq Presario v6000t laptops on September 14.
