Hewlett-Packard has launched the HP EliteBook 6930p 14.1-inch business laptop, the first model in the new EliteBook ruggedized series.
The newly designed 4.7-pound notebook meets the military standard MIL-STD 810F for vibration, dust, humidity, altitude, and high temperature. It has a shock-resistant hard drive and spill-resistant keyboard, as well as brushed anodized-aluminum exterior combined with a magnesium alloy chassis. HP says the EliteBook provides an “all-day battery life”.

HP’s EliteBook 6930p incorporates a variety of communications and networking options including the un2400 EV-DO/HSPA mobile broadband module, Intel’s 802.11a/b/g/draft-n WiFi, and Bluetooth. There are also a Gigabit Ethernet port, and a 56k modem.
The notebook has an ExpressCard slot, three USB ports, VGA output, and Firewire port.

Along with Windows Vista operating system, the EliteBook also sports HP QuickLook2 software, which provides fast access to email, calendar, task and contact information at the touch of a button.
