The first HP laptops with recently announced Intel Core 2 Duo (Merom) processor are now available for purchase at HP’s USA site. The HP Pavilion dv9000t and Pavilion dv6000t notebook now can be configured with a Core 2 Duo T5600 CPU running at 1.83GHz with 2MB of L2 cache and a 2.00GHz T7200 Merom CPU with 4MB of cache.
The 15.4-inch widescreen HP Pavilion dv6000t with T5600 costs at least $1024, while its lowest price with T7200 is $1124. The 17-inch widescreen HP Pavilion dv9000t featuring T5600 starts at $1424, while the same configuration with T7200 CPU costs $1524.
