Hewlett-Packard has replaced this morning its Pavilion dv2500, dv6500, and dv9500 consumer notebook series with the new HP Pavilion dv2700, dv6700 and the dv9700.
Customers now can choose between the Intel-powered dv6700t and dv9700t, or AMD processor-based dv6700z and dv9700z. The dv6700 laptops feature 15.4-inch displays, while the dv9700 has a 17-inch screen. There are also the 14.1-inch dv2700t with Intel CPU and special edition models - the Pavilion dv6700tse, dv2700tse, and dv2700tbw.
The new HP Pavilion notebook PCs have the same core components as their precursors. The refresh includes the addition of a Blu-Ray optical drive option, as well as an option of an increased video memory in Pavilion laptops with a dedicated Nvidia GeForce graphics card. There are also “a few subtle refreshes” to the design of the HP’s consumer notebooks, according to NotebookReview.
