Hewlett-Packard’s recently announced HP Pavilion dv4t 14.1-inch entertainment notebook PC, featuring Intel Centrino 2 mobile platform, known as “Montevina”, and the new design, is now available for purchase.
The Pavilion dv4t includes the Intel Core 2 Duo processor and the new GMA X4500 integrated graphics, or Nvidia GeForce 9200M GS 256MB dedicated GPU. The laptop supports up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 320GB of hard drive storage, and a DVD burner or Blu-Ray Disc drive. The 14.1″ 1280×800 widescreen display in this notebook has CCFL or LED backlight.
The dv4t sports 802.11b/g wireless support or the new Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100AGN module supporting 802.11n draft standard. There are also an optional Bluetooth module, and an Ethernet LAN port. According to a specifications sheet, the dv4t does not have a built-in modem.
It features Altec Lansing stereo speakers, web camera, and fingerprint reader, HDMI and VGA outputs, three USB ports (4th shared with eSATA port), an ExpressCard slot, 5-in-1 media card reader, and Infrared receiver.
The notebook includes the newly designed high-glossy HP Imprint 2 Mesh finish with a grid-like pattern in onyx and chrome.
The dv4t weighs 5.18 pounds with a 6-cell battery.
It’s offered with Windows Vista 32-bit or 64-bit operating system and starts at $999.99.
