Hewlett-Packard has launched the 15.6″ HP Pavilion dv6t Quad, 17.3″ dv7t Quad, and 18.4″ dv8t Quad Edition entertainment notebook series, based on Intel Core i7 quad-core mobile processors and Windows 7 operating system.
Along with the Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz or i7-820QM 1.73GHz CPU and 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional Edition, the Pavilion Quad laptops include the Nvidia GeForce GT 230M 1GB dedicated video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, and a DVD or Blu-ray optical drive. The dv6t Quad comes with up to 500GB of hard drive space, while the dv7t Quad and dv8t Quad provide up to 1TB of storage using two hard drives.
Optionally, the new Pavilions include a built-in hybrid HDTV tuner. The laptops also sport a web camera, stereo speakers, an HDMI output, and 802.11n WiFi.
The HP Pavilion dv6t Quad, dv7t Quad, and dv8t Quad Edition series start at $1,000, $1,150 and $1,300, respectively.
