HP Pavilion dv9000tHewlett-Packard added HD DVD ROM to its 17-inch widescreen HP Pavilion dv9000t entertainment laptop. For additional $450, you can replace notebook’s DVD double layer burner with a HD DVD ROM.

HP Pavilion dv9000t with incorporated HD DVD has an integrated HDMI port which enables HD content playback on a high-definition TV or monitor. This optical drive also supports double layer DVD burning.

For better HD experience, the dv9000t’s BrightView widescreen with 1440×900 resolution can be upgraded with optional HP’s Ultra BrightView display with dual-lamp technology and the same resolution for additional $125.

HP Pavilion dv9000t features Intel’s Core 2 Duo or Core Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 graphics card with 256MB or 512MB of video memory, up to 2GB DDR2 SDRAM, and one or two hard drives with storage space of up to 240GB (2 X 120GB).

HP Pavilion dv9000t has integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network with optional Bluetooth, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 56K modem. It also has ExpressCard/54 slot, 5:1 digital media card reader, 4 USB ports, S-video TV out and VGA port. The HP dv9000t hasn’t PCMCIA Type I/II slot. There is also optional HP Analog TV Tuner with remote control which fits to ExpressCard slot.

The cheapest HP Pavilion dv9000t configuration featuring HD DVD costs $1550.

It weights around 7.8 lb, but when configured with Ultra BrightView dual lamp screen it weights 8.32 lb.

The HP dv9000t comes with Windows XP Home, Pro or Media Center operating system.
