HP Pavilion tx1000, the tablet PC announced at CES 2007, is now available for purchase at Hewlett-Packard’s web site. The tx1000z model has a starting price of $1,299 with standard notebook 12.1-inch 1280×800 widescreen display, and $1,425 with touch-screen feature.
HP Pavilion tx1000z is configurable with AMD Turion 64 X2 dual core processor at 1.6GHz, 1.8GHz or 2GHz clock speed, 1GB or 2GB of main memory, and with up to 200GB SATA hard drive at 4200rpm rotational speed. The offered smaller 80GB, 100GB and 160GB HDDs are at 5400rpm. HP tx1000z has a DVD burner and NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 as the only graphics option.
Regarding connectivity features, it has wireless LAN, Gigabit Ethernet, a 56k modem and an optional Bluetooth. There are three USB ports, VGA out, TV out and ExpressCard slot, as same as optional integrated web camera and fingerprint reader.
HP Pavilion tx1000z weighs 4.2 lbs and comes with Windows Vista Home Premium, Vista Business or Vista Ultimate Edition OS.
