HP Pavilion tx2000zThe recently announced HP Pavilion tx2000z series Tablet PC is now available for purchase through the Hewlett-Packard’s website.

The Pavilion tx2000z, which is a successor of the tx1000z convertible notebook, features a 12.1-inch widescreen 1280-by-800 display with integrated touch-screen functionality. An included pen for input is battery-less and can be used for erasing of text and drawings.

The Tablet PC is powered by the AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-62 processor at 2.1GHz or the TL-64 at 2.2GHz, depending on customers choice. The system has the NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 integrated graphics and supports up to 4GB of DDR2 memory. The tx2000z ships with up to 250GB hard drive and a built-in DVD burner.

Regarding communications, there are an 802.11b/g or 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN module, an optional Bluetooth, a Verizon Wireless V740 ExpressCard option for EVDO broadband wireless connectivity, as well as Ethernet LAN and 56K modem connections.

This Tablet PC also features integrated web camera and fingerprint reader options, and built-in Altec Lansing stereo speakers.

The HP Pavilion tx2000z has three USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, a 5-in-1 digital media card reader, a remote control receiver, and VGA and S-Video outputs.

The latest convertible notebook from Helwett-Packard weighs 4.26 pounds and has a new finish design called Echo.

HP Pavilion tx2000z series start at $1,299.99.
