The HP ProBook 4420s, Hewlett-Packard’s latest 14-inch business-class notebook, is now available.
The ProBook 4420s features the low-voltage Intel Core i7-620LM, standard-voltage i5-520M, i5-430M, i3-350M, or i3-330M CPU, the Intel HD integrated graphics that comes on the CPU itself and a maximum of up to 8GB of DDR3 main memory. For data storage there’s up to 500GB of hard drive space and you can burn CDs and DVDs with the included DVD burner. Blu-Ray Combo optical drive is optional. The display resolution is 1366-by-768 pixels.
The ProBook 4420s also includes a spill-resistant keyboard, an optional 2MP web cam, stereo speakers and microphone, and standard features in today’s notebooks such as Wi-Fi, LAN, an Bluetooth, optional 56k modem, VGA and HDMI for displaying your work on an external screen, three USB ports and a combo eSATA/USB port, an ExpressCard slot, a media card reader, and an optional fingerprint sensor to enhance security.
The laptop starts at around 5 pounds and runs Windows 7, but there’s also SUSE Linux operating system option.
It can be purchased via the business section of the HP website for a starting price of $869.
