Intel Corporation has announced a new addition to its solid-state drive (SSD) lineup – the Intel X25-V Value SATA SSD, featuring a 2.5-inch form factor and 40GB capacity.
Desinged for use in netbooks or as a boot drive for dual-drive SSD/HDD desktops, the X25-V Value SATA Solid-State Drive has read and write speeds of up to 170MB/s and 35MB/s, respectively.
The X25-V 4GB is priced at $125 for 1,000-unit quantities and is currently stocked and available in worldwide distribution.
There’s no info on the X25-V drives with larger capacity.
