Intel today officially unveiled its new processor lineup including 10 models - five laptop-use Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile CPUs (Merom) and five Core 2 Duo desktop processors (Conroe). According to Intel, Merom-based laptops are expected to hit the market at the end of August. Official prices of the new laptop CPUs were not disclosed.
All five laptop processor are branded as T-series Core 2 Duo processors, and their core frequencies vary from 1.66GHz to 2.33GHz. All five support a 667MHz FSB. The L2 cache of the two entry-level models, the 1.66GHz Core 2 Duo T5500 and the 1.83GHz Core 2 Duo T5600, have a 2MB L2 cache. The three other processors, the 2GHz Core 2 Duo T7200, the 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo T7400 and 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo T7600, have a 4MB L2 cache.
