The AeroXperience website has published a video of the Intel’s Metro Notebook concept, introduced in April at Intel Developer Forum in Beijing.
The Metro laptop prototype is only 0.7-inch thick and weighs 2.2 pounds. This notebook concept features a secondary “Eink” display for reading email, calendar entries, eBooks, etc. The video shows you can also use Windows Media Player or play games via Eink.
According to earlier reports, the concept model is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and has an antenna, which is able to switch between the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and WiMAX links.
“Unfortunately, the representative walking the reporter through the laptop confirms that this is purely a concept device, and is really only aimed at encouraging OEMs to develop similar models,” Engadget reports.
