Lenovo 3000 C200, “entry and mainstream notebooks” were announced today. The new 15-inch screen laptop, with 1024 x 768 resolution, features Intel Core 2 Duo (Merom) processor T5500 or Celeron M processor 420, and is based on Intel’s 945GM Express chip set, incorporating Intel graphic media accelerator 950 with up to 128MB of shared memory and Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG. Lenovo 3000 C200 supports up to 2GB of main memory and comes with 40GB or 80GB hard drive spinning at 5400rpm.
Lenovo 3000 C200 has a 56k modem and 10/100 Ethernet. It provides four USB 2.0 ports, one IEEE 1394, a VGA display port, an S-Video TV-out and one PC card slot.
Battery life of the Lenovo’s C200 lasts for up to 2.52 hours. The notebook weights 6.17 lbs to 6.39 lbs.
The system comes with Windows XP Professional or Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.
According to the Lenovo’s announcement letter, the laptop will become available in the United States starting October 31. The cheapest Lenovo 3000 C200 configuration, with Celeron M CPU, 512MB of memory and 40GB hard drive, will cost $650.
