Lenovo 3000 N100 low-budget laptop is said to be made for “mobile small business customers”. The N100 laptop features Intel Core Duo or Solo processor and a 15.4-inch WXGA display. Introduced in March this year, Lenovo 3000 N100 has been reviewed by PC Magazine, Laptop Magazine, Notebook Review, Strike Mobile, C Net and others. Here are its hand-picked review quotes with links to the full stories.
Lenovo 3000 N100 review by PC Magazine
With a 1.67-GHz Core Duo T2300 and 512MB RAM, the N100 is a moderately better performer than the Z60m, which runs on a single-core Pentium M. On our performance tests, its overall SYSmark 2004 SE scores were 13 percent higher than the Z60m’s, and it was 24 percent better on Internet Content Creation. The best overall scores for notebooks on this suite still belong to the Acer TravelMate 8204WLMi, our Editors’ Choice, but that system has better components than the N100. Battery life hovers around average, scoring 2 hours and 44 minutes on MobileMark 2005 tests.
LAPTOP Magazine - Lenovo 3000 N100 Review
For $899, the Lenovo 3000 N100 delivers dual-core processing power without breaking the bank. Although you’ll have to pay a total of $1,039 to have enough RAM to run Windows Vista Premium and to burn DVDs, this system is a good deal for budget-conscious consumers and business users.
Lenovo N100 Review
The N100 feels sturdy and the chassis is rock solid. You can pick it up by the very corner and it does not protest in the least. The case on the N100 is made of plastic. When pressing on the center of screen from the back, the screen distorts noticeably. The sides of the screen are better protected. The case material is the kind that will get scratched under normal use. As I pulled it from the box the first time I opened it, I could see scratches through the plastic wrapper which must have been made while it was assembled or packed for shipping.
Lenovo 3000 N100 notebook review - StrikeMobile - mobile technology
The best notebook from the 3000 series, the N100 does a good job in providing excellent performance at a highly affordable price. Stylish look combined with an almost all-in-one capability make from the Lenovo 3000 N100 the easy quality-price balance choice. Our marks are 8 for the design and 8 for the tech specs.

The good: High-end components for the price; competent performance; comfortable keyboard; display has very fine resolution; solid assortment of ports and connections, including media-card reader; robust system-management and help utility. The bad: One-year warranty inferior to some business models’; small touch pad and shallow mouse buttons; tinny, soft speakers; few dedicated multimedia controls; lacks ExpressCard slot; unremarkable battery life.
The bottom line: In addition to a set of features and connections suitable for the small-business user, the Lenovo 3000 N100 delivers strong components and performance at a competitive price.
