Lenovo 3000 V200 “Santa Rosa” Ultra-Portable Now Available

PC maker Lenovo has updated its ultra-portable notebook lineup with the new 12.1-inch widescreen 3000 V200 model, based on Intel “Santa Rosa” mobile platform.

Starting at $1,199, Lenovo’s 3000 V200 is offered with Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 or T7300 processor with 1.8GHz and 2GHz clock speed respectively. These CPUs have “Santa Rosa’s” 800MHz front side bus, and are paired with Intel GM965 chipset. The GM965 features integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, which manages the 1280×800 display. The V200 small laptop comes with 1GB or 2GB of system memory, a 160GB 5400rpm SATA hard drive and DVD burner.

Lenovo 3000 V200 has Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN, Bluetooth, and a fingerprint reader. There is no information on other networking features, ports and slots. The previous Lenovo 3000 V100 laptops provide Ethernet LAN, a 56k modem, three USB ports, ExpressCard slot, Firewire, a VGA out, and a 5-in-1 media card reader.

Lenovo has not provided info on the V200’s weight. The V100 models start at 4lbs.

The “Santa Rosa”-powered 3000 V200 ultra-portable comes with Windows Vista preinstalled and is available via Lenovo’s official site.
