Lenovo has released the IdeaPad Y460, a 14-inch laptop for consumers.
The new laptop features Intel’s Core i3-330M CPU, GMA HD integrated GPU, and a 320GB HDD or the Core i5-520M processor, a switchable graphics solution with both GMA HD and the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB video card, and a 500GB HDD. Both models have 4GB of DDR3 memory, a DVD burner and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.
The 14-inch glossy LED-backlight display has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Lenovo’s Y460 also includes a 1.3MP webcam and microphone, JBL stereo speakers, HDMI and VGA outputs, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, three USB ports and one eSATA/USB combo port, an ExpressCard slot, and a 6-in-1 multicard reader.
The model with the integrated GPU weighs 4.71 pounds and provides up to 4 hours of battery life, whereas the 4.85lbs model with switchable graphics provides up to 3.5 hours.
Regarding design, the Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 has a black chassis and an engraved pattern on the lid.
Prices for these laptops are $999 or $1,199, respectively on the Lenovo official website.
