PC maker Lenovo Group has agreed to pre-load Microsoft Corp.’s Live Search and other Windows Live services on its ThinkPad notebooks, ThinkCentre desktops and other Lenovo computers, the two companies said today.
With Live.com, customers can customize their home page content, create multiple pages based on their interests and add their favorite content from online sources. The Windows Live Toolbar gives consumers one-click access to Live Search, which enables category searches such as Web, news, images and immersive maps to help them find what they are looking for, the companies said.
Windows Live on Lenovo’s notebooks and desktops could help Microsoft to compete with Google Inc. in Internet search industry, according to the reports.
Does it really matter with preloaded software? I don’t know about you guys, but the first thing I do when I get a new pc in is format it and load what I want. I never even boot into the OS that is preloaded with my system.
