Lenovo ThinkPad SL (SL300, SL400, SL500)Lenovo released today the ThinkPad SL SL300, SL400 and SL500 Series notebooks, balancing between business computing and multimedia functions. The Lenovo ThinkPad SL laptops feature 13.3-, 14.1-, and 15.4-inch displays and Intel’s Centrino 2 “Montevina” mobile platform.

The SL laptops include the new Core 2 Duo 45-nanometer CPUs with 1066MHz front side bus, integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD or Nvidia GeForce 9300M dedicated GPUs, up to 320GB of hard drive space, up to 4GB of RAM, and an optional 2MP web camera. There are also 802.11 wireless, Bluetooth, WWAN and GPS on select models, an optional Blu-ray optical drive, and HDMI connector. The SL notebooks will also support WiMAX connectivity.

Lenovo’s ThinkPad SL300 is a 13.3″ variant in the upcoming SL lineup and includes LED backlight display option. It has three USB ports, while the 14.1-inch SL400 and 15.4-inch SL500 have four USBs. Each of the SL laptops has ExpressCard, and Firewire ports, and an optional fingerprint reader.

The Thinkpad SL laptops have glossy black finish made of scratch resistant ABS.

The SL400 and SL500 systems are available now and start at $799.00. The SL300 is not available yet.
