St John’s Unviversity website has revealed some specifications of the Lenovo ThinkPad T430, the new version of the PC maker’s 14″ business notebook.
The listed ThinkPad T430 model has the Intel Core i5-3210M dual-core “Ivy Bridge” processor, 1366×768 display, 6GB of 1333MHz RAM expandable to 8GB, a 320GB hard drive, and a DVD burner. Of course, the T430 will be also available in other configurations. According to the specs sheet, the integrated graphics processor is the HD 3000 series, but this is probably a mistake since the Ivy Bridge chips incorporate the HD 4000 IGP.
The 4.3-pound notebook has a 720p webcam accompanied by a full duplex microphone, USB 3.0 technology, optional mobile broadband, 4-in-1 media card reader, and a 6-cell battery.
Availability and pricing are missing from the ThinkPad T430 page. Since the laptop is offered to St John’s freshmen, it will be most likely ready for this back-to-school season.
Note: The laptop on the image above appears to be the current T520, but it is possible that the upcoming T430/T530 will have the same or very similar design.
