Lenovo ThinkPad T510Lenovo has announced the new ThinkPad laptops, including the mainstream 15.6-inch ThinkPad T510.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T510, as same as the 14″ T410, features the Intel Core i5-520M at 2.4GHz, i5-540M at 2,53GHz, and the i7-620M at 2.66GHz, all with dual cores. The laptop comes with Intel’s integrated graphics or the NVIDIA NVS3100M dedicated GPU. There are also up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB of hard drive space or a 128GB solid state drive, and a DVD burner.

Display resolution choices include 1366×768, 1600×900, and (on models with the discrete GPU) 1920×1080. The screens have LED backlight and anti-glare coating.

Regarding networking, the new ThinkPad sports 802.11n Wi-Fi, optional Bluetooth, as well as optional Gobi 3G mobile broadband with GPS functionality and optional WiMAX.

The T510 features a multi-touch trackpad, a 2MP web camera, four USB ports (one of these is an eSATA/USB combo port), an ExpressCard slot, DisplayPort and VGA outputs, a Firewire port, 5-in-1 media card reader, a fingerprint reader, and an optional Smart Card reader.

The laptop starts at around 5.9 pounds and runs Windows 7 OS.

According to Lenovo, the T510 provides up to 18 hours of run time with the optional 9-cell Slice battery.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T510 has a base price of $999 and can be purchased now through Lenovo’s online store.
