Lenovo ThinkPad T60 / T60p WidescreenLenovo refreshed its ThinkPad T60 and T60p notebooks with widescreen displays, Intel Core 2 Duo processors and new ATI Mobility Radeon graphics options.

Lenovo ThinkPad T60 now incorporates 15.4-inch WXGA screen with resolution of 1280×800 or WXGA+ 1680×1050 version, both powered by integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950. The cheapest widescreen ThinkPad T60 costs $1,549 and comes with WXGA, Core 2 Duo T5500 processor, 512 MB of main memory, 40GB hard drive, Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG and a DVD-ROM. The widescreen T60 is reported to weight 5.1 pounds, which is “lighter than any comparable notebook from the top five PC vendors”.

Lenovo also added new ATI Mobility Radeon graphics options and Intel Core 2 Duo processors to its T60 and T60p Thinkpads, which feature standard 14.1-inch and 15-inch displays. The non-widescreen T60 comes with ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 (64 MB) and X1400 (128 MB), while the T60p incorporates ATI Mobility FireGL V5250 (256 MB) graphics. The price tags on these models ranges from $1699 for Core 2 Duo T5600-powered T60 with Intel’s integrated graphics to $4600 for T60p with T7600 processor and ATI Mobility FireGL V5250.

According to the Lenovo’s announcement letters, there is also Core 2 Duo 15.4-inch widescreen ThinkPad T60p with ATI Mobility FireGL V5250. Its price starts at $3,300 and goes up to $4,149 for Core 2 Duo T7600-powered model.
