Lenovo ThinkPad Z61p Workstation Announced

Just announced Lenovo ThinkPad Z61p is the first mobile workstation of the Lenovo’s Z series platform. The ThinkPad Z61p features 15.4-inch widescreen, Intel Core Duo processor, ATI Mobility Fire GL V5200 (256 MB) graphics chipset and integrated Bluetooth wireless technology. It supports up to 4 GB of the DDR2 memory.

Lenovo ThinkPad Z61p offers up to 5 hours of battery life with the six-cell system battery, says Lenovo’s announcement letter. The Z61p’s optimal travel weight starts at 5.94 lb.

Lenovo’s Z61p planned availability date is July 25, 2006. Lenovo estimates that Z61p configured with 100 GB 7200 rpm hard drive, Intel T2500 CPU, 1 GB memory and a DVD Recordable will cost around $2,399.
