The forthcoming Medion’s ultra-mobile personal computer, the MD RIM 1000, will be more usable than current well-known UMPC devices, because it has slide out keyboard and a touch pad, Slash Gear reports.
Medion MD RIM 1000 UMPC also features VIA’s 1GHz ultra-low voltage processor, 512MB of memory, and 20, 30 or 40MB hard drive spinning at 4200rpm. The MD RIM 1000′s 6.5-inch touch screen is powered by Unichrome Pro graphics.
Regarding Internet and connectivity, it features 802.11b/g wireless and Bluetooth 2.0. Along with integrated GPS, the Medion’s UMPC incorporates webcam and digital TV tuner.
Weighing around 1.5 lbs, Medion MD RIM 1000 has battery life of between 4 and 5 hours.
According to the images published by Slash Gear, the new Medion’s UMPC will be able to run Windows Vista operating system.
